To-Dye-For Bag (Level 1)

$ 145.00

Duration: 3 hours
Venue: 333 Kreta Ayer Road #02-32 S080333

Introducing our take on the traditional Komebukuro (Japanese Rice Bag): a perfect union of freeform textile dyeing with our love of sewing. And the best part is, this bag is reversible, and you can also carry it as a drawstring bag or a purse, so that’s a total of 4 styles in 1 bag! A perfect blend of form and functionality!

In this 2-part workshop, get your hands dirty (not quite, gloves will be provided) with basic dyeing techniques with indigo dye  (dip dye/Arashi-shibori/Kanoko), and learn to use the sewing machine to sew the 2 pieces of dyed fabric to make a reversible rice bag.

You must attend the same time slot for both sessions. Please register your interest below to be notified of new dates!
