New to sewing, but want to pick up basic dressmaking skills? This beginner course is tailored just for you!

This 3-hour workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals and some techniques for dressmaking, you will learn:

  • How to thread and operate sewing machine
  • Locking stitch, straight-stitch, serging
  • Attach zippers: Lapped Zipper, Concealed Zipper
  • Hand-stitching: Blind-hem

This is a Level 0 workshop: suitable for the absolute beginner! (Not suitable for children age 16 and below)

This is a pre-requisite workshop only if you wish to attend basic dressmaking series. (E.g. Beginner Garment and Pattern-making, Carefree Culottes Series) Do note that we have other beginner workshops available as well. 

This workshops requires a minimum number of registrations to start. 
Course fees will be refunded if minimum number is not met.
